During my first year at Coinbase, I collaborated with a motion designer to produce social media assets for new features and updates. These assets were primarily longer-form on X (formerly Twitter), with cutdowns and adaptations for Instagram (stories/feed) and the blog.

My role involved conceptualizing ideas, storyboarding, and providing animation notes for approval by the PMM before handing off to the motion designer. This would be followed by a few rounds of feedback from the PMM and myself before going live. Projects typically took 2-3 weeks from start to finish, depending on the complexity and number of assets.

The successful performance of the videos prompted us, before shifting focus from marketing to product, to allocate our remaining bandwidth to creating templates for similar content. This ensured that the PMMs had a foundation to work with moving forward.
